Close Encounters / Mount Shasta Mysteries

About the show

In the first half, author Whitley Strieber, an expert in diverse subjects such as cattle mutilations, crop circles, and the afterlife, spoke about his experiences with the non-human entities he calls the "Visitors," as well as his upcoming book, "The Fourth Mind," which explores the concept that humanity has lost a significant aspect of its mental capabilities that extraterrestrial visitors still possess. He elaborated on the extraordinary abilities he attributes to these beings, such as telepathy and levitation, commenting, "They have a command of the physical world that stems from their minds that we do not have."

Reflecting on his personal experiences, Strieber recalled his sometimes traumatic encounters with the insectoid Visitors that led to his groundbreaking work, "Communion." He was left grappling with bizarre memories that challenged his understanding of reality. He shared his belief that these beings are not necessarily extraterrestrial but may exist right here on Earth, possibly living underground or underwater, and that some may be bio-robotic in nature.

Strieber described instances where people have witnessed humans morphing into Grey aliens, or possibly the aliens using mind control to alter their identities. He also mentioned an implant he received during an abduction, which he initially viewed with suspicion but has come to appreciate as a valuable research tool that seems to stimulate his intuition.

In the latter half, hypnotherapist Dr. Bruce Goldberg shared his research into the intriguing Mount Shasta in Northern California, and the sightings and paranormal events that have been reported to take place at the mountain. "Every type of paranormal event has occurred here," he noted, highlighting the mountain's reputation as a hotspot for UFO sightings and mysterious disappearances. Goldberg discussed the historical figure JC Brown, a geologist who, in 1904, allegedly discovered an underground civilization at Mount Shasta linked to the lost continent of Lemuria. "He found a tomb with 27 giant skeletons between seven and 10 feet tall," he said, suggesting that these beings may still exist today in hidden realms. "Lemurians are typically described as being tall, graceful and thin, ethereal type beings who stand up about seven feet in height," he continued.

The mysterious disappearance of Brown during an expedition to uncover more about the site raised questions about his fate: Was he a fraud, killed by the Illuminati, or escorted by the Lemurians to their headquarters via a UFO?" Goldberg pondered. He also touched on the mountain's unique energy, theorizing that Mount Shasta could be an "energy vortex." He reported strange accounts, including a child who vanished and later described entering a parallel universe, and a 2013 NASA study of the Mount Shasta area that found "X points"-- hidden portals in the earth's magnetic fields. The conversation also touched on the enigmatic Saint Germain, an 18th-century alchemist and historical figure who was said to appear at Mount Shasta, as well as reincarnation and karmic principles.
