One dark being, the Hat Man, Hollis described as an interdimensional creature sometimes wearing a three-piece suit. She stated her own encounter with the Hat Man involved a towering black figure with red eyes and an overwhelming sense of dread.
According to Hollis, spiritual faith plays a central role in countering negative encounters. She insisted that invoking the name of Jesus causes intrusive entities to retreat during abductions or Shadow sightings. "They don't just come at night," Hollis said regarding these beings. Asked whether she agreed with researcher David Jacobs that alien contact is fundamentally nefarious, Hollis admitted her experience supports that view for most cases. "I do tend to lean towards the majority of the ones that are coming down... they're not good guys," she confessed.
