America's Second Civil War

About the show

David Aikman was a former Senior Correspondent for TIME magazine, and wrote numerous cover stories for the magazine, as well as "Man of the Year" profiles. He also wrote for the Weekly Standard and Christianity Today. Art and Aikman talked about his novel "When the Almond Tree Blossoms," which presents an alternative timeline-- a second U.S. civil war that takes place in 1998 that pits "Constitutionalists" against the "People's Movement," a left-wing coalition that seizes power after Russia defeats the U.S. in Iran.

Aikman offers commentary on the situation in Waco, the idea of a New World Order, and a chapter in his book where he makes fun of political correctness. Open Lines were featured in the last two hours.
