Building a Time Machine

About the show

In this classic edition of the program, aspiring time traveler 'Mad Man Marcum' made his first-ever appearance on the program to discuss his efforts to build a time machine. He recalled how the effort caused considerable consternation for authorities in his hometown as the project wound up using so much power that it caused brownouts in his community and ultimately led to Marcum spending time in jail after he was arrested for stealing transformers from a nearby power plant to help boost the strength of the machine.

Despite these setbacks, he claimed that the development of the machine appears to have been headed in the right direction as he allegedly threw a screw into the proverbial 'time portal' created by the device and the object purportedly sailed "a half a second into the future."

The latter two hours of this five-hour show featured Open Lines.
