Extreme Weather Revelations

About the show

Art Bell kicked off his new weekend stint with maverick physicist Professor James McCanney, who discussed extreme weather, redirecting the path of hurricanes, and the crash of the Galileo spacecraft into Jupiter. His weather theory suggests that "jet streams are actually electrical bands of ions and electrons in the upper atmosphere powered by our outer magnetic field...we have an electron belt that goes around the equator and moves westward-- that's what powers the hurricanes."

Further, McCanney contended that there's not enough energy locally in the atmosphere to power major storms. "Ultimately," he said, "I look to the electrical nature of the solar system and found that Earth has many electrical batteries around it."

Regarding the major blackout in the Northeast in August of 2003, he connected the incident to 'Tesla'-type experiments that he said were conducted at a secretive underground base in Canada. The first hour featured news and Open Lines.
