Prepping for Disaster & UFO Sightings

About the show

Prepper expert Steve Shank discussed storable food, self-sufficiency, and Y2K. Shank is a Mormon and explained his religion's take on storing food. Art brought up the upcoming Y2K scare and that it could be nothing—or the worst thing ever. Shank said he didn’t know and didn’t care, and felt that it was a great opportunity for families to consider true independence by being self-sufficient. Art and Shank discussed the Y2K Bennett report during hours 2–3. Most people are not adequately prepared for disaster, he continued. Shank discussed specifics on how to prepare for emergencies or a breakdown of services and law.

In the first hour, Peter Davenport of the National UFO Reporting Center discussed recent UFO sightings. He said they had received reports of crafts even bigger than a battleship, similar to the Phoenix lights. In his opinion, the government must have a contingency plan in place when major sightings take place. He also played a 2-minute clip from a witness report near Memphis, Tennessee, and another from Sebring, Florida.
