At the time of this interview, Joel Rothschild was one of the longest surviving HIV patients, as well as a former "card-carrying atheist." He and his friend Albert were both diagnosed with the disease and made a pact that if one died before the other, they would somehow contact the survivor from the afterlife. Albert committed suicide, and when Joel found his body, he received the first message instructing him where to find his suicide note.
Later, Rothschild said he received other messages from his friend, one of which prevented him from considering killing himself as well. Rothschild chronicled the otherworldly communications in his book "Signals." During the program, many listeners called in with their stories of ghostly contact.
In the first hour, "UFO lawyer" Peter Gersten spoke about his federal lawsuit against the Department of Defense charging a cover-up of a multiple witness UFO sighting. He described the “standing room only” crowd in the courtroom, and the UFO report documents he hoped to get released. The last hour consisted of Open Lines with such topics as solar flares, life on other planets, Kathleen Keating and religion, Internet chat rooms, and NDEs.
