Transplant Patients' New Memories

About the show

In hours 2-4, Dr. Paul Pearsall discussed fascinating cases of organ transplant patients receiving memories of their deceased donors. While mainstream medicine is highly skeptical of this phenomenon, Pearsall cited experiments demonstrating a consciousness transfer between simple-celled organisms. He also shares a heartbreaking story about a child’s transplanted heart, how consciousness differs from reincarnation, and what happened when racially prejudiced people received organs from another race. Pearsall, who passed away in 2007, was a licensed clinical and educational psychologist based in Hawaii.

In the first hour, Art is joined by movie and TV producer Arnold Leibovit, who discusses his recent movie, a remake of H.G. Wells’ Time Machine. He talks about his career and also about meeting sci-fi legend George Pal.
