Underwater Artifacts / Open Lines

About the show

According to a story in Reuters, researchers using sonar equipment off the coast of Cuba have discovered at a depth of about a ½ mile down a huge land plateau that looks like urban development – resembling pyramids, roads, and buildings. Art asked Linda Moulton Howe to investigate the story, and she reported on it in the first hour. She tried making contact with a researcher, but it was impossible to get her number in Cuba. A man from National Geographic's science department put Linda in touch with a director from the National Geographic Society in Washington DC. The director told Linda that she would do some checking and then later revealed she wasn't able to find out much. Art said you could read between "about a hundred lines" during the interview with the director that was played on the air.

Open Lines took up the rest of the show. Art asked for time travelers or people who were possessed. He had a feeling that this was "going to be a weird night." A man claiming to be Elvis Presley called in. Another discussed how he is possessed, but it was obviously fake, and so over the top, that Art couldn't stop laughing.
