The guest for the entire show was the late attorney Rosalie Osias, who asserted that women can use their feminine edge to advance themselves in the workplace. Osias rose to fame as a mortgage attorney whose views on women's means to advancement in the workplace ignited controversy.
She ran suggestive ads in professional journals, which brought her a lot of business but saw her run afoul of the New York State Bar. Osias claimed that the point of the ads, some of which featured her lounging in sexy clothing and high heels, was to "crack the glass ceiling protecting the male-dominated corporate culture," which Art referred to as "getting your thigh in the door."
While emphasizing her idea that women should use their sex appeal to get the attention of men in business, she also added that those women who do should be ready to back it up with a track record of success and the expertise to deliver on claims, "and be better than men." Beginning in the second hour, Osias took calls and messages from listeners, with the controversy and fireworks that would be expected with her stance.
