Wild West Open Lines

About the show

In a night of news and 'Wild West' Open Lines, Art took calls from listeners about the massive fires on the West Coast, and flooding on the East Coast. Wildfires burned over 80 homes and 30,000 acres in Southern California. Art gave a major update on the entire fire including describing pictures that show "tornadoes of fire." A firefighter had burns over 70% of his body. Art originally scheduled a guest but decided to do Open Lines instead in case there was breaking news about the fire.

Other call topics include the Philadelphia Experiment, a seeming plague of deformed frogs, the chupacabra, cattle mutilations in Chico, Randy Weaver, the band Dead Can Dance, why Americans hate the press and mainstream media, the electoral college, Art signing copies of The Quickening, and reincarnation. There was also commentary on the then-current presidential campaign between Bill Clinton and Bob Dole.
