Ray Manzarek

Biography:

Musician, keyboardist and filmmaker Ray Manzarek was born in Chicago, Illinois. He studied in the Department of Cinematography at UCLA where in 1965 he met another film student named Jim Morrison. Morrison said he had written some songs and Manzarek expressed an interest in hearing them. In 1965, he co-founded the legendary Doors. Ray is the author of the book Light My Fire: My Life with the Doors.
