Biography:

Playwright, screenwriter and NYU faculty Jeffrey Stanley is the author of the hit play Tesla's Letters. He regularly performs his autobiographical, supernatural comic monologue Boneyards in Philadelphia and New York City. He's currently working on the screenplay Little Rock, a bio-pic about Navy Ensign and artist Vernon "Copy" Berg, the first officer to legally challenge the US military for anti-gay discrimination. Stanley is a recipient of a 2014-15 Amtrak Writers Residency, and he is also an independent singer-songwriter. He was a resident of Yaddo and a Copeland Fellow at Amherst College. Stanley teaches screenwriting, playwriting and theatre history courses at New York University Tisch School of the Arts in New York City, and at Drexel University Westphal College of Media Arts & Design in Philadelphia.
