In unfortunate news from the world of paranormal reality television, authorities uncovered a murder-for-hire plot allegedly orchestrated by the wife of Ghost Adventures star Aaron Goodwin, who was to be the target of the sinister scheme. According to a report from TMZ, which broke the wild story on Monday evening, Nevada cops arrested Victoria Goodwin last week for solicitation and conspiracy to commit murder. An arrest report detailing the shocking case asserted that she had been communicating with a Florida inmate in the hopes of ending her marriage by way of her husband's arranged demise.
"Am I a bad person," Victoria is said to have mused in one exchange, "because I chose to end his existence. Not divorce." Amazingly, authorities alleged that the paranormal TV personality's wife even went so far as to offer specific details about the program's filming schedule so that the plot could unfold smoothly. The arrest report explained that Victoria had amassed around $11,000 to pay for the murder that would have been committed by a third party enlisted by the inmate. Cops indicated that the scheme unraveled when the prisoner's contraband cell phone was discovered during a search of his quarters and an examination of the text revealed the stunning exchange.
When questioned by police, the arrest report said, Victoria chalked the conversations up to her wistfully wishing for a single life rather than a genuine plan to kill her husband. Cops clearly did not buy that excuse as she was arrested for the dual charges of solicitation and conspiracy to commit murder. For his part, the Ghost Adventures star told TMZ that he was "blindsided and devastated" by what authorities uncovered, lamenting that "he thought he was in a happy marriage." Currently, Victoria remains in police custody with bail set at $100,000. What do you make of this troubling turn of events?
