Malaysian Realty Company Enlists Ghost Hunters to Certify Home is Not Haunted

Hoping to put to rest concerns that one of their homes might be haunted, a realty company in Malaysia enlisted a paranormal research group to investigate the residence and certify that they found no spirits 'living' there. The odd bit of supernatural 'house cleaning' reportedly came to light earlier this week when KL Selangor Lelong Properties shared the results of the ghost hunt on their Facebook page in the form of a letter from the organization tasked with rooting out any apparitions. The "certification," which amusingly sports a sizeable Ghostbusters logo as a header, declares that "notwithstanding several reports, we could not find any paranormal activity" in the home.

The group went on to offer some explanations for incidents in the residence that others may have perceived to be paranormal in nature. Specifically, the ghost hunters wrote that flickering lights were probably caused by faulty wiring, doors opening and closing on their own likely occurred because of the wind, and "eerie sounds might just be some wild animals." That said, the group indicated that they only investigated the home for one day and, in order to be certain that there are no ghosts in the home, "we might need to set up a small laboratory" at the location and observe the site for another 15 days.

It is uncertain whether or not the realtor took them up on that offer or if the initial certification was satisfactory as their Facebook post simply states that the "last call" for the property is this coming Friday. While the work of the ghost hunters may have helped assuage the fears of prospective buyers who would not be too keen to share their new home with spirits, one can't help but wonder if they did more harm than good, since they did point out that the residence appears to have faulty wiring, is susceptible to winds powerful enough to open and close doors, and that there are wild animals prowling around the property.
